Oakton Emeritus Program Examines Middle East Conflicts

Explore the historical context of conflict in the Middle East in a new course offered by Oakton Community College's Emeritus Program.

Disputes in the History of Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (PSE B20-61) covers topics such as whether settlers stole or bought land; the 1947-48 refugee crisis; and causes of the 1967 War. Three-week course meets 10 - 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays, starting Nov. 22, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $40.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
