Oakton Emeritus Program Focuses on Music Appreciation

Enroll in music appreciation courses offered by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College. Featured courses meet at Oakton's Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave.

Music Without Borders (MUS B53-71) features a celebration of music from around the globe. Three-week course meets 2:15 - 3:15 p.m., Sunday, starting April 27. Course fee is $40.

Great Young Violinist - Gil Shaham (MUS B60-71) spotlights the talents of Israeli violin prodigy Gil Shaham, who made his solo debut with the Jerusalem Symphony at 10 years old. Four-week course meets 10 - 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, starting April 30. Course fee is $60.
