Enroll in October Oakton Emeritus Courses

Enroll in courses on art, architecture, film, and music offered by the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College. These featured classes meet at Oakton's Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave.

Brilliant Art and Architecture of Natural Wonders (ART T02-61) is a survey of natural and creative man-made works of beauty and genius. Topics include the Statue of Liberty, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, the Florida Everglades, Venice, and Red Square. Four-week course meets Wednesday, 1 - 2:30 p.m., starting Oct. 24. Course fee is $60.

Salute to Visionary Director Robert Altman (HUM C17-61) pays tribute to the unforgettable filmmaker known for large ensemble casts, overlapping dialogue, and commentary on American life. Course meets 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. Course fee is $30.

American Music: Bluegrass to Rock 'n' Roll (MUS B50-64) covers the influences of various indigenous genres. Course meets 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct 28. Course fee is $15.
