Sample Oakton Emeritus Courses at Des Plaines Campus
Sample the wide variety of seminars and classes offered by the Oakton Community College Emeritus Program at "Taste of Emeritus - West," 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1, at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
Targeting students "who weren't born yesterday," Oakton's Emeritus Program traditionally offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, and tours, at the College's Skokie campus. "Taste of Emeritus - West" is a daylong event that brings to the Des Plaines campus an opportunity for students to sample Emeritus offerings in theater, art, politics, and entertainment.
A light lunch will be served; for reservations call 847-635-1414.
Students age 60 and over who live within Oakton's district pay half-tuition for Emeritus noncredit classes. Those who have registered for an Oakton credit class within the last three years or an Alliance for Lifelong Learning noncredit class within the last five years may register using the Touch-Tone system by dialing 847-635-1616. Touch-Tone registration requires payment using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).
