Adult
students whose native language is not English are invited to register
for free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, offered
through Oakton Community College's Alliance for Lifelong Learning.
Classes meet twice weekly for 20 weeks; daytime and evening sessions
are offered.
Sponsored
by the Illinois Community College Board, free ESL classes are designed
to teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to adults
16 years and older. Students must register in person to be admitted
to the ESL classes. Identification and Social Security number, if
available, are required at registration.
Mid-spring
