Develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills with English as a Second Language (ESL) classes offered by Oakton's Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL). Featured classes meet at Oakton Community College, 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines. All classes require preregistration in person from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 5.Conversation I (COM A21) helps students with limited conversational ability to develop practical communication skills. The six-week class meets from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning June 10. The course fee is $70.
Practical Reading and Writing Skills (COM A61) helps intermediate-level students develop writing skills for basic business correspondence. The seven-week class meets from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., beginning June 12. The course fee is $70.
Other ESL courses offered during the summer 2003 term include Conversational English Practice (COM A50) and Conversation II (COM A22).
