Intermediate
ESL students who have trouble reading English are invited to enroll
in free spring reading classes offered through Oakton Community College's
Alliance for Lifelong Learning. Classes are funded by the Illinois
Community College Board, the Office of the Secretary of State, and
the Illinois State Library.
The
purpose of these free classes is to develop reading and writing skills
for personal or employment purposes. Students may discuss their individual
goals and needs with a counselor during registration. Free reading
classes start in mid-April, and meet at various times and locations
throughout the district.
