Oakton Offers Public Relations Courses
Embark on a career in public relations by enrolling in classes offered this spring at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
Introduction to Public Relations (MKT 240-050) provides the history and evolution of public relations and explores basic public relations techniques and tactics. Eight-week course meets Tuesdays, 6 - 10 p.m., starting Jan. 16.
Advanced Public Relations and Special Events (MKT 244-050) presents advanced perspectives of public relations. Focus is placed on the expanding role of today's public relations professional, including various components of integrated marketing. Eight-week course meets Tuesdays, 6 - 10 p.m., starting March 20.
