Sons of the Never Wrong Harmonize at Oakton

See and hear the future of folk music at 8 p.m., Friday, May 6, as the Sons of the Never Wrong bring their unique three-part harmonies to Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines. (Originally scheduled for Jan. 22, this show was rescheduled due to inclement weather.)

Formed in 1992, the Chicago trio comprised of Bruce Roper, Sue Demel, and Deborah Lader, displays an "exuberant, optimistic approach to music-making," according to the Chicago Tribune. The Chicago Reader says, "not quite neo-folk, or trad folk, or folk rock . . . but somehow all of the above." The group is currently working on its fifth full-length recording.

Tickets are $12 for general admission; $11 in advance and $10 for students and seniors.
