Experience the Wonders of Antarctica on Oakton Tour

Rivers of crystalline ice, colonies of penguins, and icebergs the size of city blocks are just some of Antarctica's natural wonders to be experienced on an Oakton Community College travel/study tour. Five trips are scheduled for 2003: Jan. 17 - 27, Jan. 27 - Feb. 8, Feb. 8 - 26, Feb. 26 - March 7, and March 7 - 17.

Travelers will arrive at the "last continent" by way of the Drake Passage on a 386-foot vessel. Whale watching, educational lectures, visits to research stations, and landings at several penguin rookeries among the exciting planned activities. Several tours also feature camping and kayaking excursions.

For more information and a complete itinerary of these tours, contact Bea Cornelissen at 847-635-1812.
