Oakton Hosts Ars Viva String Quartet

Ars Viva String Quartet, a group of musicians from one of the Chicago area's finest classical orchestras, takes the stage at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Performing Arts Center at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

Founded in 1995 by music director Alan Heatherington, Ars Viva was named the 2003 Orchestra of the Year by the Illinois Council of Orchestras.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $13 for students and seniors, and $11 for groups of 15 or more. For more information or to order tickets, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900, or contact Karol Verson at 847-635-2185 for group sales.
