A shared exhibition featuring paintings and ceramic works by two members
of the Oakton Community College art faculty opens Thursday, Feb. 9,
at the Koehnline Museum of Art, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines. A
free reception with light refreshments is scheduled 5 - 8 p.m. The
exhibit runs through Friday, March 24.

Krauss: Paintings showcases an approach to media using watercolor
and acrylic titanium white on watercolor paper. Subtle nuances and
poetic moods distinguish these works by Krauss, who serves as chair
of Oakton's art department.
Peter
Hessemer: Ceramics is a display of hand-built and wheel-thrown
porcelain stimulated by natural objects. Hessemer's creative process
is open-ended, and inspired by his teachers, Rudolf Staffel and Ruth
Duckworth.
The
exhibit is free and open to the public. Museum hours are 10 a.m. -
6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturdays.
