Audition for 'Alice in Wonderland' at Oakton

Audition for the many "curiouser and curiouser" characters of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, when the Performing Arts at Oakton holds open tryouts for this literary classic 6 - 9 p.m., Monday, Jan. 29 and Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

Based on Lewis Carroll's original texts for Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, the stage production journeys into a world of complete illusion and features many memorable characters including the Mad Hatter, March Hare, and Cheshire Cat.

The director is casting men and women of all ages. Prepared monologues and cold readings will be heard. No appointment is necessary.

Alice in Wonderland will be presented March 29 - April 1, and April 5 - 7, at Oakton's Des Plaines campus. For ticket information and reservations, call 847-635-1897.
