Auditions Set for Wasserstein's 'Daughter'

Open auditions for the Performing Arts at Oakton production of Wendy Wasserstein's "An American Daughter" are scheduled 6 - 10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20, and Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road.

"An American Daughter" is the quintessential story of how Washington, D.C., embraces its heroes, and then tears them down. The director is casting roles for four women, one African American and one mature; four male characters also are being cast, one gay and one mature.

"An American Daughter" will be presented in Studio One at Oakton's Des Plaines campus Nov. 4 - 21. For more information or to order tickets, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900. For group sales of 15 or more, contact Karol Verson at 847-635-2185.
