AUDITIONS FOR "WAITING TABLES" AT OAKTON

Beginning in February, Oakton Community College's theater department is staging a production of Waiting Tables in the Performing Arts Center. A restaurant provides the setting for the three one-act sketches: August Strindberg's The Stranger; David Ives' Sure Thing; and Frank Gilroy's A Way With Words.

Auditions are scheduled from 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, and Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, Room 2701 at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 East Golf Road.

The director, Frank Del Guidice, is looking for characters of all types. Actors should prepare a one- to two-minute monologue, though monologues will be made available if necessary.
