Look
for "trumped up" laughs Saturday, Jan. 29, as the Chicago Bar Association
presents its 81st annual Christmas Spirits Revue at Oakton Community
College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
The
title of this year's original production, "The Associate," spoofs
Donald Trump's popular reality show, The Apprentice, with satiric
musical numbers including "Help Wanted," "Fahrenheit 7-11," and "In
Rod We Don't Trust." The Christmas Spirits Revue showcases some of
Chicago's best legal minds in parodies of political, sports, and show
business celebrities, from Martha Stewart and Howard Stern, to Roger
Ebert and Dusty Baker.
The
show starts at 8:30 p.m. in the Footlik Theater at Oakton's Des Plaines
campus, and benefits the Charles N. Goodnow Chicago Bar Association
Scholarship and the Oakton Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund.
A reception follows the performance.
A
limited number of $50 tickets remain available, and may be reserved
by calling the Office of Resource Development at 847-635-1893.
