Oakton Tour Offers Belize Adventure

Explore the natural history, heritage, and cultural diversity of Belize on a travel/study tour offered through Oakton Community College. The final Belize tour for 2008 is scheduled in March.

Located in northeastern Central America, Belize is home to more than 600 archeological sites. Many locations are important Mayan sites still undergoing deep excavation.

Optional extension trips also are available to the Mayan ruins at Tikal National Park on the Guatemalan border, and Ambergris Caye, a popular location for snorkeling and diving.
