Oakton Board Candidates in Public Forum
Eight candidates seeking to fill four vacancies on the Oakton Community College Board of Trustees have been invited to participate in a public forum 1 - 3 p.m., Thursday, March 24, at the College's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
The April 5 ballot includes candidates running for two six-year trustee terms and two two-year terms. Candidates seeking six-year terms are: Robert Whitman, Northbrook; Jody Wadhwa, Northbrook; Jeffrey Rosen, Evanston; Ralph Goren, Wilmette; and Michael Wolf Burnett, Lincolnwood. Candidates seeking two-year terms are George Alexopoulos, Glenview; Donald Barshis, Wilmette; and Michael Collins, Glencoe.
Sponsored by the Friends of Oakton Committee, the forum will open with a three-minute statement from each candidate, followed by a moderated Q&A session. All interested students, faculty, staff, and members of the community are encouraged to attend.
