Jeffrey
Rosen, Ph.D., dean of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies
at Loyola University Chicago, is the new chair of the Oakton Community
College Board of Trustees, officials said. Rosen replaces the board's
previous chair, Jody Wadhwa of Glencoe, who remains a member of the
District 535 board.
Prior
to the May 15 reorganization, Rosen, of Evanston, served as vice chair.
Emory Williams of Evanston was named vice chair and Joan DiLeonardi,
Ph.D., of Des Plaines, was named secretary.
In April, George Alexopoulos, Ph.D., of Glenview, and Michael Collins
of Glencoe were re-elected to six-year terms. Board newcomers include
Ann Tennes of Park Ridge, elected to a six-year term, and student
trustee Steven Spera of Des Plaines, who serves for one year.
The
next public meeting of the District 535 Board of Trustees is at 7:30
p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln
Ave., Skokie.
