Oakton's Summer Bridge Program Begins June 9

Applications are being accepted for the Summer Bridge Program at Oakton Community College, a prestigious and innovated curriculum for high school and college students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). All classes meet Monday - Thursday, June 9 - July 24.

Supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, the Summer Bridge Program is designed for high school and college students interested in pursuing a STEM major but who also need to improve their math or English skills. In addition to earning college credit for the summer courses, participants also receive reduced tuition and the opportunity to qualify for a National Science Foundation scholarship.

Space is limited, so students are advised to apply soon. Applications can be picked up in the Student Services office at the Ray Hartstein Campus (Room A105) and the Des Plaines campus (Room 1130). For more information on the Summer Bridge Program, including dates, times, and requirements, call Gloria Liu at 847-635-1738.
