Oakton Musical Brunch Set for November 16
Satisfy your appetite for food and song at “What Is This Thing Called Love?,” a performance featuring Eileen Berman and John Cina, at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
Enjoy a buffet-style brunch, followed by a program of memorable music from the American songbook, Broadway, and opera. Berman and friends will perform selections by composers including Cole Porter, Ira Gershwin, and Burt Bacharach. Berman is a member of the music faculty at Oakton who has appeared with the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, Chicago Chamber Orchestra, Chicago Opera Theater, and Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra. Cina is a former director of the Lane Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets are $25, including a delicious brunch buffet. Reservations are required by Thursday, Nov. 6. For more information, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900.
