Open auditions for the Performing Arts at Oakton production of "Three
Sisters," by Anton Chekov, are scheduled 6 - 9 p.m., Monday,
Jan. 30, and Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E.
Golf Road, Des Plaines.
Hailed
as one of the greatest dramas of the 20th century, "Three Sisters"
tells the story of the Prozorov sisters, who dream of one day escaping
their provincial Russian village. The director is casting four women
to play 20 to 30 years; one woman to play 50 to 70 years; six men
to play 20 to 45 years; and two men to play 50 to 70 years. Actors
will be asked to read from provided scripts. Prepared monologues will
be seen, but are not necessary. Copies of Lanford Wilson's translation
are available on reserve at the Oakton Library.
"Three
Sisters" will be presented April 6 - 9, and April 13 - 16, at Oakton's
