Visit
the birthplace of Confucius on a two-week travel/study tour sponsored
by Oakton Community College. Trips to China in 2008 depart in April
and September.
Start
in Beijing with a walk along the Great Wall and a visit to the Forbidden
City. Journey to Xi'an, home of 6,000 life-size terra cotta statues
guarding the burial site of China's unifying emperor, Qin Shi Huang.
Travel to Qufu, birthplace of Confucius, and tour the Temple of Confucius.
Stop in Shanghai to visit the Temple of the Jade Buddha and Shanghai
Museum of Art and History.

extended Yangtze River cruise is available at an additional cost. In
addition to this "Confucian Odyssey," Oakton also offers two other China
