Travel
along China's Yangtze River on a travel/study tour sponsored by Oakton
Community College. Two trips are scheduled in 2004: Oct. 8 - 23 and
Oct. 29 - Nov. 13. Five trips are scheduled in 2005: April 23 - May
8; May 11 - 26; July 31 - Aug. 15; Oct. 11 - 26 and Oct. 29 - Nov.

Start
in Beijing with a walk along the Great Wall and visit the Forbidden
City. Journey to Xi'an, home of 6,000 life-size terra cotta guards
that protect the burial site of China's unifying emperor, Qin Shi
Huang. Cruise the Yangtze River and, along the way, stop and climb
a 12-story pagoda or enjoy a Chinese cooking demonstration. Finally,
stop in Shanghai and visit the Temple of the Jade Buddha and the Shanghai
Museum of Art and History.
