If
earning a bachelor's degree seems overwhelming because of work, family,
and other adult commitments, don't miss Oakton Community College's
Nontraditional College Fair, 5 - 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24, at
the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Admission
and parking are free.
From
"fast track" programs that focus on independent study, to "life experience"
credit for those with career skills and accomplishments, many institutions
offer creative and innovative ways for adult students to complete
their bachelor's degree.
The
Nontraditional College Fair hosts representatives of more than 20
Illinois colleges and universities. Among those schools invited to
attend are: DePaul University, DeVry Institute of Technology, Elmhurst
College, Governors State University, Kendall College, National-Louis
University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northwestern University,
Roosevelt University, and University of Phoenix.
