Auditions for Oakton Community College's production of "Company" are scheduled at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, and 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, in the Footlik Theater at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Call 847-635-1901 for an appointment.The Tony Award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim focuses on five affluent couples living in a Manhattan apartment complex and their overly protective feelings about a bachelor friend. The play features a cast of eight women and six men ages 18 to 50. Auditions will consist of a prepared one-minute monologue and 16 bars of a song (preferably not from the show). An accompanist will be provided; candidates should bring their own sheet music.
"Company" will be presented at 8 p.m., Friday, March 21 and 28; 8 p.m. Saturday, March 22 and 29; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23 and 30. For more information, call Karol Verson at 847-635-2185.
