Open Auditions Continue for 'Company'

Open auditions for Oakton Community College's production of "Company" are scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Footlik Theater at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.

The Tony Award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim focuses on five affluent couples living in a Manhattan apartment complex and their overly protective feelings about a bachelor friend. The play features a cast of eight women and six men ages 18 to 50. Auditions will consist of a one-minute monologue and 16 bars of a song (preferably not from the show). An accompanist will be provided. Monologues and music will be available at the audition, or actors may come prepared with their own.

"Company" will be presented at 8 p.m., Friday, March 21 and 28; 8 p.m. Saturday, March 22 and 29; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23 and 30. For more information, call Karol Verson at 847-635-2185.
