Visit scenic and historic Croatia
on a travel/study tour offered by Oakton Community College. Conducted
by Frank Fonsino, a retired professor of history, the next trip departs
March 17, 2009.
In the capital city of Zagreb, enjoy the charm of dramatic medieval
architecture. View a cascading 700-foot waterfall at Krka National
Park. Tour the city of Split, where Hungarian, Venetian, and French
monarchs once ruled. Known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,”
Dubrovnik offers well-preserved historic sites, including magnificent,
centuries-old walls.
Excursions to the Istrian Peninsula and the coastal town of Cavtat
are offered at additional cost.
