classic play The Crucible, Oct. 16 –19
and Oct. 23 –26, at Oakton Community College’s Footlik
Theater, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
Written in the 1950s during the height of McCarthyism, Miller’s
play is set against the backdrop of the Salem witch trials in the
17th century. Themes of paranoia and abuse of power make this award-winning
play relevant and riveting.
