Audition for 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at Oakton
Open auditions for the Performing Arts at Oakton production of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" are scheduled 6 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 27, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
This modern adaptation of Shakespeare's supernatural play-within-a-play takes place in a college setting in Ohio. Academics, hippies, and laborers substitute for Shakespeare's original cast of fairies, lovers, and "mechanicals." The director is casting all ages and types, male and female. Prepare a Shakespeare monologue, or choose to read from provided scripts.
