Performing Arts at Oakton Presents Wilde Comedy

Oscar Wilde's classic play, "The Importance of Being Earnest," will be presented by the Performing Arts at Oakton, Dec. 1 - 4 and Dec. 8 -11, at Studio One, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

Originally staged in 1895 London, Wilde's comical view of Victorian society was an instant hit and has remained a popular favorite ever since.

Regular performances of "The Importance of Being Earnest" are 8 p.m., Fridays, Dec. 2 and 9; 8 p.m., Saturdays, Dec. 3 and 10; 2 p.m., Sundays, Dec. 4 and 11; and 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8. The run opens with a $5 preview at 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1.

Tickets are $10 for general admission; $8 for students and seniors; and $6 for groups of 15 or more. To reserve tickets, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900. For group sales, contact Karol Verson at 847-635-2185.
