Oakton Hosts Early Childhood Center Open House
Parents of young children are invited to attend open house events sponsored by the Early Childhood Education Centers at Oakton Community College. Visits will take place 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
These open houses are designed to provide information about Oakton's nationally accredited Early Childhood program. The Skokie campus offers part-day and full-day programs for 3- to 5-year-olds. The Des Plaines campus enrolls 2- to 5-year-olds in a full-day program.
Oakton's Early Childhood Education Center offers a stimulating, individualized curriculum that encourages curiosity. Both centers recently won accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) until 2012.
