Register for quality child care at Oakton Community College. Both
of the college's Early Childhood Education Demonstration Centers,
in Des Plaines and Skokie, are accepting registrations for summer
and the 2006-07 academic year.
At
Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie, both
full-day and part-day programs for children ages three through five
(3-5) years old are available. The full day program runs 7 a.m. -
6 p.m. with two-, three-, and five-day enrollment options. Half-day
programs are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
and 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
The summer program offers two-day enrollment options: 9 a.m. - 12
p.m. on Monday and Wednesday; or 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
The center is closed on Fridays during the summer.
At
the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road, two full-day programs for
children ages two through five (2-5) years old are available with
two-, three-, and five-day enrollment options. The Des Plaines center
is open 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
This
program is accredited by the National Association for the Education
of Young Children (NAEYC) and licensed by the Department of Children
and Family Services.
