Explore the vast culture and natural treasures of
Ecuador through a travel/study program sponsored by Oakton Community
College. The final 2008 trip departs in October.
Begin in the 450-year-old capital city of Quito and experience Jacchigua,
the Ecuadorian folklore ballet. Visit Oswaldo Guayasamin’s gallery
of contemporary paintings, and take a day trip to Calderon, home of
native bread dolls. Enjoy a seven-day Galapagos Islands cruise that
includes outdoor adventure at the Charles Darwin Research Station
and Pinnacle Rock.
Participants in this physically demanding trip should be in good health.
An optional week-long extension to Peru’s Machu Picchu is offered
at an additional cost.
