Explore Legacy of the Pharaohs on Oakton Trip

Dig into the legacy of the Egyptian pharaohs on a study/travel tour offered by Oakton Community College. Tours in 2005 are scheduled to depart Feb.13, March 13, June 19, Oct. 9, and Nov. 6.

Begin in Cairo amidst the famous pyramids and observe the mysterious guardian, the Sphinx. A trip across the Nile, to the west bank of Luxor, will take you to the Necropolis of Thebes, the burial ground of the great pharaohs. Excursions also are planned to Luxor Museum and the Temple of Denderah. An optional extension to visit the ancient ruins of Jordan is available at an additional cost.
