Step
back in time to the ancient world of Egypt on a travel/study tour
sponsored by Oakton Community College. Trips in 2008 depart in February,
March, June, October and November.
Begin
in Cairo with an informative lecture on Egypt's legendary kings, then
walk amidst the famous pyramids and observe the mysterious Sphinx.
See the vast treasures of King Tutankhamun at the Egyptian Museum.
Travel across the Nile to the west bank of Luxor and the Necropolis
of Thebes, burial ground of the great pharaohs.
A
family adventure with two expert guides also is scheduled. Lower cost
versions of this learning vacation are available for the budget-minded
traveler. Alternative trips include more modest accommodations and
meal packages.
