Explore Legacy of the Pharaohs on Oakton Trip

Dig into the legacy of the Egyptian pharaohs on a study/travel tour offered by Oakton Community College. Tours in 2006 will depart on Jan. 17, Feb.14, March 14, June 20, Oct. 17, and Nov. 14.

Begin in Cairo with an informative lecture on Egypt's pharaohs; then walk amidst the famous pyramids and observe the mysterious Sphinx. A trip across the Nile, to the west bank of Luxor, will take you to the Necropolis of Thebes, burial ground of the great pharaohs. Visits to Luxor Museum and the Temple of Denderah also are planned. An extended adventure to Jordan is available at an additional cost.
