Dig into
the legacy of the Egyptian pharaohs on a study/travel tour offered
by Oakton Community College. Two remaining trips are scheduled for
2004: Oct. 10 - 22, and Nov. 7 - 19. In 2005, tours will depart on
Jan. 16, Feb.13, March 13, June 19, Oct. 9, and Nov. 6.
Begin
in Cairo with a lecture on the pharaohs of Egypt while walking amidst
the famous pyramids and observe the mysterious guardian, the Sphinx.
A trip across the Nile, to the west bank of Luxor, will take you to
the Necropolis of Thebes, the burial ground of the great pharaohs.
Visits to Luxor Museum and the Temple of Denderah also are planned.
An optional
extension to Jordan is available at an additional cost. This adventure
includes excursions to ancient ruins.
