Enjoy the rustic beauty and cultural richness of Ireland on a tour sponsored by Oakton Community College's travel/study program. Trips are scheduled Sept. 11 - 25, 2003; and April 15 - 29, May 13 - 27, and July 8 - 22, 2004.The tour begins in Killarney, renowned for its beautiful lakes and enchanting mountains. Travelers will journey next to the "Ring of Kerry," a place of breathtaking scenery and history, and Cobh in Cork County to see St. Coleman's Cathedral and the Cobh Heritage Centre.
Other stops include Nire Valley, home of Ireland's two finest castles; Dublin, featuring the haunts of writer James Joyce; and Glencolumbkille, a village depicting the life in Western Ireland a century ago.
