Nature and Soul Artwork on Display at Oakton

The Koehnline Museum of Art at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines, opens its 2005-06 season with "I'mPact," an exhibit exploring the pact between nature and soul to create infinite individuals. The multimedia exhibition opens Tuesday, Sept. 6, with a free public reception 5 - 8 p.m.

Installation artist Stephanie Bowman combines computer fractals by Jeffrey Ventrella, ceramic sculpture by Nuala Creed, original music by Yeshe, and the work of Pittsburg State University art students, to create a whimsical view of the magic of love. The exhibition runs through Friday, Oct. 21.

Starting Sept. 1, hours for the Koehnline Museum of Art are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday. For more information, call 847-635-2633, or visit www.oakton.edu/museum.
