College-bound students applying for federal student aid for the 2002-2003 school year are encouraged to attend the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid Completion Day" on Monday, Feb. 11, in the TenHoeve Center (Room 1608) at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Rd., Des Plaines.Financial aid professionals will assist students and their families with filling out the Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA), which is required for any federal or state financial assistance.
Registration begins at 6:30 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by concurrent sessions in English, Polish and Spanish. Students and their parents should bring information and records needed to complete the form, including copies of their 2001 income tax forms; Social Security cards; driver's license and immigration cards if applicable; and copies of bank statements.
This program is free and open to the public. For additional information, call (847) 635-1708, between 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
