Boost
your efforts to earn a college diploma in Oakton Community College's
Fast-Track Degree Program for Adults. The following Fast-Track
classes begin the week of March 21 at Oakton's Des Plaines campus,
1600 E. Golf Road, and Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave.,
Skokie.
Introduction to Literature (EGL 129-075, EGL 129-076) examines
readings in fiction, drama, and poetry and includes discussion of
social, intellectual, and historical influences on these literary
forms. Eight-week course meets 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesdays, at Oakton's Des
Plaines campus, or 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesdays, at the Ray Hartstein Campus.
Introduction to Psychology (PSY 101-075, PSY 101-076) studies
human behavior with reference to learning, motivation, emotion, perception,
intelligence, human development, mental processes, and research. Eight-week
course meets 8 - 10 p.m., Tuesdays, at Oakton's Des Plaines campus,
or 8 - 10 p.m., Wednesdays, at the Ray Hartstein Campus.
Adult Psychology (PSY 205-075) examines the development of
the normal adult from young adulthood through old age. Eight-week
course meets 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesdays, at the Ray Hartstein Campus.
In
Oakton's Fast-Track program, students attend classes one night per
week, and earn an Associate in Arts degree in just two years. Designed
for motivated adults over the age of 24, students study two integrated
subjects and participate in discussions, group work, projects, and
demonstrations.
