Register now for several new exercise courses being offered at X-Sport Fitness Center, 9210 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, by the Alliance for Lifelong Learning at Oakton Community College. The fee for each 12-week course is $144.Pilates (PED E04) is a program designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. The course meets Wednesdays from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., starting Sept. 24.
Cardio-Kickboxing (PED E49) is a popular fat-burning regimen that combines the student's hidden personal power with the techniques of self-defense and kickboxing. The course meets Thursdays from 7 - 8 p.m., starting Sept. 25.
On The Ball (PED E21) introduces the exercise ball as a comfortable training aid designed to stimulate blood flow, improve spine alignment, and help with muscle recuperation between workouts. The course meets Thursdays from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., starting Sept. 25.
Water Aerobics (PED E17) improves strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular function. The course meets Tuesdays from 10 - 11 a.m., starting Sept. 23.
X-Sport Fitness Center offers cutting-edge fitness equipment and knowledgeable instructors. Students enrolled in these Alliance classes are guests of X-Sport. No refunds are issued for missed classes; make-up classes may be scheduled with individual instructors.
