Spend
a week immersed in the culture of France by enrolling in a field study
course offered by Oakton Community College this spring. Free information
sessions will be held at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, at
Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. The field study is
scheduled May 14 - 23.
Discovering
France (FRE 105) allows modern language students the opportunity
to increase their language competence by interacting with native French
speakers. Participants will visit several historic locations in France,
including the Latin Quarter of Paris, known for its lively atmosphere
and bistros; the village of Giverny, home of Claude Monet; and the
French Rivera, one of the world's most famous resort destinations.
