Explore
the ancient civilization and cultural riches of Greece on a travel/study
tour sponsored by Oakton Community College. Five tours are scheduled
in 2005: April 14 - 25; May 19 - 30; June 23 - July 4; Sept. 1 - 12
and Oct. 6 - 17.
Begin
in Athens, with visits to the famed Acropolis and Parthenon. Continue
through Kalambaka and the monasteries in the surrounding mountains.
Next, stop in Delphi to view the Archaeological Museum, home of the
Antinoos and the Naxian Sphinx. Travel on to Olympia and explore the
remains of the Temple of Zeus and the Temple of Hera. Return to Athens
for visits to the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, and the
Temple of Theseus.
