Na Mele Aloha, the Hawaiian Music Club at Oakton
Community College, performs classic and modern Polynesian music this
fall at two Des Plaines locations. The group will appear at Tiki Terrace,
1591 Lee Street, on the second Thursday of the month (Oct. 9, Nov.
13, and Dec. 11), and at Cheeseburger In Paradise, 1472 Market Street,
on Sept. 25 and Oct. 23.
Featuring multiple ukuleles, slack key guitar, bass guitar, and vocals,
Na Mele Aloha begins its Tiki Terrace performances at 7:30 p.m.; Cheeseburger
in Paradise performances are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Reservations
are recommended.
The Hawaiian Music Club is open to those who enjoy playing, singing,
