Students interested in learning more about health career opportunities are invited to an open house Thursday, Oct. 23, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines. No registration is necessary for either of two sessions, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., or 5 - 7 p.m.

Professionals from each of Oakton's health career fields, including nursing, basic nursing assistant, physical therapy assistant, phlebotomy, pharmacy technician, and medical laboratory technology, will be available to discuss job trends and program requirements. Representatives from several Chicago-area colleges also will be on hand to talk about their programs.
