Learn new techniques for the prevention and treatment of heart disease and cardiovascular stress at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital's 14th annual Heart Fair, Saturday, Jan. 25, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road. The free event will be held from 8:15 a.m. to noon.Presentations by Advocate Lutheran General's nationally renowned cardiac experts will include "Coping Strategies in Heart Disease," "Diet Mystique: Healthy Eating/Fad Diets," and "Know Your Heart: Cardiac Disease Prevention." Interactive displays will include information about off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic aneurysms, vascular disease, stress management, sleep apnea, weight management, and nutrition. Free blood pressure screenings will be available to attendees.
A continental breakfast will be provided at this event, which is co-sponsored by Oakton Community College. Admission is free, but registration is required.
