OAKTON NAMES INTERIM DEAN


B. Diane Davis, Ph.D., was recently appointed interim dean of the Division of Business and Social Sciences at Oakton Community College.

In her new role, Davis will oversee a variety of departments and programs, including Historical and Policy Studies, Accounting, Early Childhood Education, Marketing Management, Real Estate, International Trade, among others.

Davis joined the Oakton faculty in 1977 as an assistant professor of psychology, and has since held a variety of faculty and administrative positions including professor, dean, and vice president. She has served as chairperson of Oakton's Behavioral and Social Sciences Department since 1993.

Davis holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati in education and mathematics, as well as a master's and doctorate degree in educational psychology from Northern Illinois University.
