Voices of Iraq Soldiers to Be Heard at Oakton
"Voices of Iraq Vets: Wake up America!," an original production created from the words of U.S. military personnel, will be presented at 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2; Friday, Feb. 3; and Saturday, Feb. 4, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
These emotional and tragic accounts of American soldiers trying to make sense of their experiences fighting in the Iraq war are taken from online military blogs. These narratives show the war's dramatic effect on American men and women whose lives have been forever altered.
